About MyPropertyRecord

MyPropertyRecord is an independently developed UK property software service that keeps the permanent history of a property in one organised place: what is installed, what work has been done, who did it and the documents that support it.

What MyPropertyRecord is

Most properties have a history that nobody has written down in one place. Certificates sit in email attachments, service invoices in a drawer, and a contractor’s details in someone’s phone. MyPropertyRecord gives each property a single record that holds all of it, so the information is there when you, a new owner or a contractor needs it.

The record belongs to the property, not to a spreadsheet or an email thread. It is built from the property down: floors and rooms, the items installed in them, the work carried out on those items, and the documents that support the work.

Why an organised property history is useful

A property is looked after by different people over many years. When a boiler fails, a tenancy changes, a building is sold or a new manager takes over, the useful question is always the same: what is here, what has been done to it, and where is the paperwork? An organised history answers that without a search through old messages.

MyPropertyRecord records what you enter and keeps it together. It does not check or determine whether a property meets any legal requirement; for that, see the official guidance linked from our guides.

Who it is for

Homeowners

A clear record of your home’s equipment, work and documents. For homeowners.

Landlords

One organised record for each rental property you let. For landlords.

Property managers

Records across the properties you look after, with Property Management Hub and Client Property Management.

Commercial owners

Plant, equipment and building documents for commercial and mixed-use buildings. For commercial.

How the pieces fit together

Properties, rooms, installed items, work records, documents and maintenance dates are linked rather than stored separately. A certificate can be attached to the item it covers, a piece of work to the contractor who did it, and a service date to the equipment it relates to. See features for what you can keep, and how it works for the steps.

Built to keep records useful over time

A record is only worth having if it is still accurate in five or ten years. MyPropertyRecord is built around that: history is kept rather than overwritten, a record can stay with the property when it changes hands (see property handover records), and tracked dates and recurring work help you keep it current.

MyPropertyRecord is currently in beta. If you have a question, get in touch; for how we handle information and protect it, see Privacy and Security.
